  • Still a very good Cab.
Terrific dark fruit, nice texture with a slight dry finish.

  • I agree with Mr Wu. It has acid and tannins to last it a while. However the fruit character is softening faster, leading to some imbalance in the palate. Cliur still deel dark plum red. Earthy vanilla bouquet. Drink with game.

  • Appearance: deep ruby
On the nose: med+ intensity. Blueberry, toast, vanilla, black cherry, black olive, Rose, liquorice, sweet spice. Developing.
On the palate: Dry, high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, blueberry, black currant , dark chocolate, eucalyptus, med+ intensity, med+ finish.
Overall, very good. Can drink now, has potential for ageing.
Reviewing this wine in blind. The wine is still very delicious and enjoyable just as a year ago. I was almost tricked to think it as a Shiraz because no herbaceous notes are detected on the nose. However, the cabs character of blackcurrant coming through on the palate reveals its true nature. The bitterness of tannins (dark chocolate) is a distinctive element in this wine. The finish is also lingering. Deliciousness is probably the tag I would give it. I wouldn’t rate it 95pts as I did last year, not because the wine or this bottle is inferior but really just my benchmark becomes higher. I would probably expect more complexity to give out a 95pts. If I have another bottle (which I don’t), I would leave it for at least another 3 years to see how it can evolve under the screwcap.

  • Dark ruby and intense in colour with a little garnet at the rim. Beautiful wine with black currant, plum, violet, smoky, tons of spices and a touch of mint on the nose. On the palate, it presents concentrated fruits that align with nose. Structural tannin coats the mouth but round and smooth, then unfolds with roasted hazelnut, black tea, coffee and dark chocolate in long and lingering finish. Really love it!

  • Lovely dark fruit. Nice mouth coating texture. Tannins very subdued and just enough acidity. Very nice medium bodied Cabernet. Probably drinking at its peak.
