My first bottle of wine after a week in Myanmar so had to be the local brew from Lake Inle where I'm writing this note. The fruit is what it says on the label, dense ripe hedge fruit of the Shiraz with a hint of Tempranillo juicy cherry. My problem is there is little complexity to this wine, no spice, real grip or oak (anything to add interest in a sound basic product) the whole in the end being rather inky. That said, a valiant effort with potential from a country hardly famed for its wine industry and perfectly drinkable.
