Critic tasting note: "One for the cellar. Shows a dramatic structure of firm, dusty tannins, brightened with acidity, framing complex, long and deep flavors of black currants, cassis, dark unsweetened chocolate, smoky cedar, anise and spices, undergirded by a firm minerality. Best after 2010 and through 2014, at least." - 95/100, Wine Enthusiast

- Oakville is the heart of exceptional Napa Valley Cabernet, and it happens to be our home. It is the source and inspiration for our Cabernet wines and a large part of why these wines have achieved their lofty status. Oakville is where our Martin Stelling Vineyard was planted in the 1970s, right behind our winery. We grow, nurture, and produce our flagship Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon in Oakville which is a highly allocated and much-treasured wine. It represents a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec grapes grown in vineyards that have been cultivated for over 40 years. Its velvety texture and mouthwatering plum and blackberry flavors provide a luxurious wine-drinking experience like no other. This is truly our finest expression of Cabernet and wine craftsmanship at its highest art form.

The Martin Stelling Vineyard, located behind the winery in Oakville, is the cornerstone of Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon. Planted on some of the most beautiful, gravelly loam soil in the Napa Valley, the vineyard uniformly produces wines with supple tannins, bright, forward fruit, and beautiful tannin structure.
