Critic tasting note: "Light pink with a copper hue and fine creamy mousseux. Mature and complex nose with fine depth and layers, roasted nuts, nougat, a hint of oak, brioche and pastry with sweet red fruit, raspberry and plum comfiture. The palate is layered with a gentle creamy backbone and integrated freshness, almond pasted, roasted nuts, raspberry and ripe pear, and a long, warm and lingering finish with a complex spiciness, gingerbread, brioche and nutty notes. Very nice maturity and harmony today." - 95/100, Andreas Larsson - Tasted

- Producer Notes
- La Grande Année Rosé is an alternative expression of La Grande Année, transformed by the addition, at blending, of the unique red wine from La Côte aux Enfants. The emblematic single plot of the House, located in Aÿ, produces still red wine only when the grapes reach perfect ripeness. After vinification in small aged oak barrels and a prolonged ageing on its lees, even today every bottle of La Grande Année Rosé is riddled and disgorged by hand. This reflects all the expertise of the House, able to create a cuvée whose quality is matched only by its rarity.

Vintage quality: Excellent
Current condition: Likely past it
The 2005 vintage for Champagne was extremely good despite some hiccups.
