Critic tasting note: "It's a rare treat to taste bottle aged Marlborough Pinot, and from a top producer at that. However, this vintage isn't holding up as well as the 2014s. The color of rose petals, it takes its time opening in the glass, eventually revealing still-vibrant red fruit with signs of age—meal, meat and balsamic glaze—peeping through the cracks. The palate is a little thin and languid, losing some of the character of the nose along the way, but savory tannins and tangy red fruit still flow gently to the finish.
