- A wine that is aged with consideration for its fruit. The large sized barrels gently protect the delicate tannins and crunchy fruit that reflect the perfect ripeness of the grape. The delicacy of the red fruits, the depth of the black fruit and the « verticalité », shape and reflect the perfect balance of Château Haut-Bergey red wines.

The soil composition of the vineyards terroir offers many diverse properties, be it gravel, sand or clay, enabling the establishment of an entire range of emblematic Bordeaux grape varieties. The estate vineyard is made up of six different blocks of vines planted in the midst of the Commune of Léognan, on the gravel residue left by the old river, that used to flow through the village, called l’Eau Blanche. There are 44 hectares of vines, with an average age of 20 years, which constitutes the vineyard of Château Haut-Bergey and certain parcels of vines are even 60 years old.

Reiffruchtige Nase, Apfel und Rauch, angekohltes Holz, Popcorn. Im Gaumen mit reifer Frucht, wird dann ungemein saftig, die Säure passt, verleiht Frische und Balance, der Wein ist sehr ausgewogen und endet langanhaltend. 2022-2028 (Verkostet am 21. Juni 2021 im Rahmen der UGCB Probe in Genf)

Flowers, cigar box, tobacco, espresso and black cherries are all over the place. On the palate, the wine readily serves up a concentrated dose of espresso bean, dark cocoa, red and black plums and leafy herbs. Give a few years for the oak to calm down better integrate and enjoy for about 15 years after that.

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Zart balsamisch unterlegte dunkle Beerenfrucht, ein Hauch von schwarzen Oliven, ein Hauch von Dörrobst. Mittlerer Körper, rote Kirschen, etwas weitmaschig, Orangen im Nachhall, es fehlt an Komplexität und Länge.
