Expert tasting note: "Deep, dark ruby-red is not opaque. The nose displays vivid, clean & slightly confected blackcurrant aromas. The dark fruit on the palate is fresh, but also has a leafy/weedy aspect. Acidity is fresh & alcohol is balanced. Plentiful oak means the structure currently lacks suppleness. Tasted: Jan 2023
Strong crimson garnet, purple reflections, broader ochre rim brightening. Ripe plums, some tar and leather, black cherries, subtle animalistic nuances. Substantial, elegant, red cherries and liquorice, fresh acidity, mineral-taut, good length seems light on its feet, yet long and animating, salty finish, has certain ageing potential. (Drink + 20).

Tasted: Jul 2011
One of the few vintages produced with no Cabernet Franc, using 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. This mediuml bodied wine is filled with smoke, cloves, earth, cassis and spice. The wine finished with a crème de cassis, spice and olive sensation. This is already starting to drink very well. Do not expect it to make old bones. I’d finish mine within the next 10-12 years before the fruit begins to fade.
