Decanted for over an hour. Dark ruby-garnet in colour. Has a deep nose of dusty and earthy plums and berries; hints of ripeness of the fruits are noticed. On the palate, there are ripe and unripe plums with dark minerally herbs with some hints of black peppers at the end; grainy tannins are noticed but not too intrusive. If I only have one word to describe this wine, it would be "provincial"(to me, rustic minus the barn funk). Medium bodied with a medium finish. This is supposed to be how traditional CdPs were like which made me wish I'd known of this region way way earlier in my wine journey.

Loved it. Aged nicely with lots of earthy tones and some bell pepper.
