What an amazing Riesling, very peculiar! Exceptionally smooth texture, like watered down honey (in a good way), very different taste and accent of cloves and baking spices that you would expect from much older Riesling. Wow, Virginia!

The nose wafts a hand-picked garden bucket of lemon, lime, dandelion greens and artichoke, all dusted with white pepper and coriander. Pear and marzipan appear with extended air. It's medium bodied with sharp acid that slowly coats the palate. Flavors include sharp bitter lemon, under ripe grapefruit, clementine and Opal apple. A bit myopic out of their gate, it develops a bit with extended air. A few years of aging, however, will allow the tightly-wound acid to release and give way to a few layers that are held back at the moment.

Not quite as good as the Hinterman but still delicious. These are both begging for sun and a patio.
