Excellent. From the first sniff, it was floral, elegant and filled with a delicious masculine rosey scent which corresponds to my memory of what Richebourg is. After the first 10 minutes, it went to a slightly sleepy state for another good hour. On the palate, it was this deep bouquet of red cherries, rose petals, ripe raspberries, and a hint of lavender running in forte. The tannins were noticeably soft, giving a rather velvety and silky finish. How good was it? The bottle was empty in less than 2.5 hours… I wouldn’t however suggest keeping this in the cellar for very much longer.

Just stunning from initial whiff (pronounced stems which evolve into subtle floral notes) to last drop (balanced, sweet, persistent and clear). (406/10418)

A fantastic, truly amazing young Richebourg. Very floral nose, red airy and perfumed, summer meadow, strawberries and lovely wild strawberries, smoke, dusty minerals and a mix of fine oriental spices and herbs. Spicy red cherries, hints of pepper, creamy strawberries, ripe mashed sweeter wild strawberries. More depth and some darker meaty fruit lurking underneath. Perhaps a bit less stems showing than I'm used to in DRC's wines? Exceptional balance, very good acidity and the length is tremendous. Young - almost sinfully so, but singing on a high note already. 97+

Earthy, smoky aromatics. Bestial, wild quality. Blockbuster palate, sweetness and persistence. Superb mineral quality. (3622/10418)

A lot of roasted aromas, maybe a hint too much. Red berries are the background, powerful Burgundy with long finish. 95
