A lot of sour cherry on first taste - this kind of mellowed in the glass with a bit more dark fruits and a smidge of mocha. Tannins have mellowed but linger with a long smooth finish. Drink or Hold.

A classic full bodied Napa Can masterpiece. It is drinking well now and will continue a few more years before hitting the plateau. Enjoyed this with only Limited decanting and steak dinner. Dark fruit, cocoa, slight vanilla, cola, nice mellow oak. Tannins have mellowed so it is balanced now. Just wow!

Decanted for 2.5 hours before service - about right, this time. The rough edges from the bottle five years ago have smoothed out, and the texture is much more plush and mouthfilling (it wasn't lacking in that department before, but it's just that much more now). Very approachable now, but it's going to be a long, slow climb to the drinking plateau from here.

Really faded after being open in the bottle for just 1.5 hours. Really a PnP at this point and was disappointed with this wine. A 2012 Au Paradis was far better this evening.

Dark and ultra smooth with dark baker’s chocolate notes. Shared with great friends on Vero Beach trip.
