Not my favorite Allen. Color a little darker than usual. Modest nose. These are usually impeccably balanced, but this one leaned a bit harder than usual. not much roundness, there was a crisp acidity, maybe it’s just that the fruit has faded a bit on this one, surprisingly. Missing its usual creaminess. Did have a longish finish. I’ve had many of these over the years, not the best showing. Usually these can take some age, but maybe time to drink up.

Buttery, oaky, and refreshing on a hot day. Great WS Chard!
