Darker fruits and a savory, even slightly peppery, note in the finish adds some complexity here. I'm still not sure it's superior to a quality Cotes du Rhone, but it's tasty and drinking well at the moment.

LIQUIDGRAPE’s note seems spot on to me. Scoring a point higher because my wife was a bigger fan. Personally, I think plenty of Côtes du Rhônes give the same pleasure for half the cost.

PnP- on the nose plum, black current, wild flowers, cedar, sandalwood and leather. The palate is a bit tight with the fruit yielding to flavors of black tea, sage and thyme with drying tannins on the finish. The nose is much more expressive than the palate. I put a stopper in the bottle and let it sit overnight.
Day 2: Nose is showing a bit more fruit (plum and blackberry) along with the same wild flowers, cedar and leather noted the first day. The palate has filled out a bit more with blackberry, tar and espresso bean. The finish is medium length with fine drying tannins. Overall, I liked this more on the second day. Would consider it an 88 based on day 2.

Tart red fruit forward but quickly moving into dark blackberry, not quite stewed but deep and rich, some oak influence

Decent. Not bad for $20.
