A pantomime of a wine--the fruit shooting in and out of the shadows over 2 nights--though ultimately something of an oxidative fug settled on proceedings. Note to self; drink basic Bx blanc within their first 3 years.

Bottled under a horrible plastic (albeit long) "cork". Quite pale still. Nose of lemon and wet wool. Oak quite obvious and some oxidation. Quite fine and linear on the palate but not, in my view tonight, quite jelling into anything exciting. Drink?

Exciting nose, with notes of green peppers, flowers and cream. Smooth and solid on the palate, it is a fleshy and vibrant wine with good acidity and suitable both for pairing with food and drinking on its own. Nice to drink now, but can also be held for another 3-4 years.

Not sure if it is just me who doesnt understand this wine or? Served with scallops and aspargus at 12-13C. Nothing on the nose, flat and lifeless without any inspiration or nerve. Some nutty notes on the mid palate, but short and totally a bummer in my opinion.

I enjoyed this bottle more than my previous. Not oxidised but some toastiness. Delightful passionfruit flavours on the nose. Medium weight and length.
