Delightful born and more on peak than suggestions. I mug prefer this vintage now than within the listed drinking window. Wish I had a half dozen, but hesitated because prev. not as good. Didn’t SEEM too young, but clearly better now +7-8 years.

Cherry, Rasberry, and cranberry on the nose. On the palate- Warm dark fruit, blueberry, plum, raisin, then tart cherries and cranberry with a touch of oak, vanilla, and a bit of tea/earth and then a hint of warm chocoLate on the finish. Medium finish. A really nice blend. Not the overly sweet, fruit bombs, of many California blends. If you are looking for a Napa red blend that has some complexity and a touch of Italian, old-world tartness and earth, but is still smooth enough to drink alone or with lighter food/apps, you can’t beat this wine at this price point. A terrific value.

A bit more fruit-forward than expected but not a complaint. The Petite Syrah is present via plum essence. A happy surprise purchase. Recommended.
