[Restaurant purchase] At Le Cerisier, Tournon. Deep golden in color. Medium+ intensity on the nose with beewax, raisins, ripe apricot and dried apricot, minerality, honey, fudge. Medium+ acidity (feels slufter higher due to the bitter notes), long finish with a typical almond bitter note
It looked like it was just over the hill, but it kept improving in the glass. Revised the scoring during the evening from 91 to 92
[Edit] On day 2 it was even better with white chocolate and flintiness. The linoleum aroma had completely disappeared
On day 3 white chocolate and Werther’s Original in the finish

Popped and poured. This is terrific. Apricot, tropical fruit, minerals and a little motor oil. Full bodied but enough acidity to retain good freshness. Really interesting and enjoyable now. This is going to evolve into something very special.

Similar to DRDAN8’s observations very dark in colour, oxidative both in appearance and on the nose/palate. Not unpleasant, notes of ripe/dried fruit, beeswax, nuts. On the palate a little one-dimensional and bitter, not much in terms of depth nor length. 88-90?
