Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Magnum. Ripe, bright citrus aromatics. Excellent feel, glycerine, and concentration. Sweet orange balanced by excellent soil and very good acidity. Relatively open. The best of these 3 Preuses but not at the level of the best vintages.

CdT Dinner (RCC): Excellent - very rich yet light without the feel of oak distracting from the overall balance and experience. Great balance of acidity, richness with the stone fruit and some more delicate notes.

Christmas 2023; 12/24/2023-12/26/2023 (Home): Wow - this was a seriously immature wine, and (if blind) I'd have guessed 2014 rather than 2015. Tight, flinty and lean, the wine just didn't want to show up for the first few hours it was open. The final glass (consumed that evening around ten hours after uncorking) eventually showed more of the underlying material, with a creamier side to the saline, limey fruit, but ultimately remained extremely taut and mineral. This was my only bottle, but I'd wait five years if had more!

Bought at the domaine this year. Although 2015 was warm in the Chablis and I don’t like all the wines from this vintage, this showed really really well. Quite closed on day 1, a different (better) wine on day 2, slightly less on day 3 than day 2. Notes from day 2: Medium+ intensity with honeysuckle, ripe yellow apples, mint, spices, minerality, lemon, lemon peel, some oak, hint of caramel. Medium+ acidity, long finish, great mouthfeel. 92-94
This should age gracefully for the next 5 years, will hold longer than that, might not get better

La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Vertical. Charming citrus and orchard fruit with good weight, then very good length. Bright finish. Good now. Best of the vertical.
