Tasted next to the 2013, 2014, and 2016. This was the most approachable 2018 I've tasted yet with pretty, floral notes on the nose, red cherries, and wild strawberries. Good acidity on the palate with overall quite ripe but balanced flavors of berries, red cherries, and tart fruit. Long finish. Much more enjoyable than previous bottles, this is a very promising and positive evolution. 94+

Perfect balance, minerality shines through. As a Foillard fan, this was a real treat (a more complex and elegant version). Drank over 5 hours, it evolved. Wish I had more.

giving this another taste since my first sampling late summer. it is good but at this stage still very fresh / young... not yet super differentiated from foillard's 2018 côte du py with just a hint of 3.14's complexity on the finish. to be clear this wine is perfectly enjoyable and i'd be happy to drink it regularly but i also think it will age beautifully so i'll give this another year and see how things progress... my initial sense is that i will take another couple of years to really come into its own but somehow then will have staying power to riff on the theme once it gets to that more interesting place.

Dark, brooding, but refined with velvet tannins. This is very good although strikes me that it won’t be showing its potential for at least another 2-3 years maybe more.

Very fruit driven, red and dark cherries, strawberries, some peppery notes, and blood orange in the nose. Good acidity on the palate with more red fruit, earthy notes, more pepper, and a hint of leather. Nice finish. There’s quite a bit of ripeness and darker fruit notes, but the wine is balanced. Not my favorite 3.14, but this has everything needed to age well. Check in again in 3-5 years… 93+
