Black fruit, full bore, but probably everything would be full bore after 1985 Echezeaux DRC. And the primary fruit and lots of structure on the palate. And lots of chunky structure there.

Tasted yesterday with a sip from Coravin, very tannic, some licorice. Today opened the bottle and airated it with Menu Airator. WOW, this is good. This is biodynamic and it shows - it shines!. Tannins resolved and its true self is showing. On the nose dark fruit reminiscent of a plum pie my grandmother used to make with a bit of coco and hints of coffee. On the tongue, a firm acidic attack, raspberry’s that give away dark plums, cherries - tannins still firm with licorice, grasses, menthol, coffee and chocolate present. There is a long, peppery finish and it just fades into the tongue. I really like this, it needs lots of time today, but in 7+ years, this will be stupendous..

Couldn’t wait, but probably should, however still very enjoyable. Slightly earthy, very smooth, nose is there, but needs deepening. Paired with steak and chimichurri, - - - nice complement . Will revisit in two years.

Some lovely raspberry fruit to the nose. With some energy across the mid palate. Finely and nicely balanced. All 13 varieties. Elegant as CdP can be.

Austère à l’ouverture.
Plutôt rustique.
Il s’est ouvert après plus de 90 minutes, très beau alors.
Besoin de temps.
Beau potentiel.
90-91+?
