Simple, structured and well made Pinot Noir. Dark ruby in the glass with medium viscosity. Muted nose of cherry skins and toast. Same on the palette with more sweetness and earth. Acidity and tannin provide decent grip and mouthfeel. Medium-length finish. Noticeable heat. Opened up for over an hour and paired with flatbread.

Absolutely the best California PN I've had for under $20. My last of 4 bottles. This took a few years to come into its own, but it was well worth the wait. 78% Pinot Noir, 22% Mondeuse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondeuse_Noire). Decanted for about 90 minutes. Complex nose of strawberry, cherry, mushroom, and scorched earth. Complexity carried through on the palate with fantastic minerality, and bright, fruit - slightly tart of the front palate, but sweeter on the finish. Great food wine. Paired nicely with roasted chicken and potatoes au gratin. Try this slightly chilled - delish!

Not your typical Santa Barbara PN. I like this. The fruit was more restrained and it had more of a burgundian feel to it. A great food wine. Paired well with roasted pork. Drink now.

Really good, very restrained, the age of the wine is adding to it and I think it will really be shining in about 2 years. This is more "Burgundian" than many and much more "real" tasting than most, especially at this price range. I love it .. a real wine with mushroom, cherry (dark), forest wood, mineral. Yes it is light.. so there is no hiding the wine behind oak or thick syrupy alcohol, and no annoying cola characteristic. kind of the Anti- cali Cali

A good pinot showing strawberries, cedar, and some nice spice. Not incredibly extracted but great for the money.
