6/12, vg cork. Pale/medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Aromatic, dark fruit - dark cherry, touch of plum, grilled meat, notes of mulch. Medium bodied, lovely pure dark cherry fruit, grilled meat again, refined, soft tannins, fresh acids, good length harmonious finish wioth just a touch of herb. Superb, showing some development now, drinking really well but absolutely no hurry.

Ninth bottle from a full case purchased in 2011. It is clearly fully mature by now, black tea is noticeable both on the nose and on the palate. Black and red berry fruit, soft and juicy, cool minerality, tight and energetic palate, grippy finish with good length. Still charming. Drink soon.

Light to deep red. Brownish rim. Poweful nose of wet leaves and other secondary aromas. Ripe garden fruit and flowers. Silky and elegant. Ripe fruit, still acidity. Complex with good lenght. Great with the Magret de canard. Not getting better, so drink up.

Clos de la Marechale Vertical (Decatur, GA): Cloudier crimson color; almost Grenache-like on the nose, leather, Brett, medicinal plum, funky and different than others in the flight while providing a softer structure and intensity.

Elegant medium weight red fruits with lots of charm and fine overall balance with just enough earthy notes for complexity. Very good now.
