    (Roumier Bonnes Mares) Structured, intense and ripe. Horsey with beautiful red fruit. Dripping with refinement and class even in this young state. Great every time I have had it.

    (Roumier Bonnes Mares) I just love this vintage and this is one of the wines of the vintage for me. It went through so many phases. From gloriously open to slammed shut. As I uncorked it at the shop it was just singing. The aromas slayed me. Smoked meats . . . dark violets . . cinnamon . . . black fruits . . and you could almost smell the sap. The palate was velvet. Concentrated fruit. Flavors of fruit skins . . attesting to the youth of the wine. But pure and dense with alot of brooding earth and fruit underneath. So sappy on the palate with undeniable purity and silkiness. Some slightly gritty tannins and a beautiful dissolve on the finish. I know so much is there underneath the primary fruit and cannot wait to see in 10 years.
