  • Open/Decanted an hour. Medium Purple. This is an approachable fruit-driven Petite Sirah. Blueberry/pomegranite/boysenberry liquor/pepper on the nose. Cranberry, meat/leather, white pepper, allspice, biting acidity....clean/lean mid-palate, subtle finish. Smooth, integrated tannin. 12.5% alc. - which I find great, and very judicious oak. Juicy mouthfeel. Medium-Full bodied.

  • Translucent purple in color. Reticent aromas of raspberry, blackberry, and sweet blueberry with a hint of earth and flowers. Palate shows nice tart berries which persist through the mid-palate. Earth, berries, herbs, and a slight bitter chocolate on the finish with a sweet tannic grip. Medium bodied with good acidic lift. Just the slightest bit of heat at the end. Becomes more tannic with air. Just so much lighter and elegant that most petite sirahs I've tried. Actually enjoyable. May gain more complexity with time.
