  • Smoke/tobacco/leather/cedar wood on the nose, but not overpowering. Similar palate. Some dark red fruit. Huge tannins, obviously a lot of oak went into this one. Some cherry and chocolate and baking spices. Finish is a little bitter.

  • This was kind of a surprise, as I thought I had drank them all. Also thought it might be over the hill, but it drank pretty well, actually. Deep coloring with ruby to garnet at the edges. Aromas of dark fruits, graphite minerality, and a hint of floral. Medium(+) body and finish, medium acidity, and flavors of dark and dark red fruits, mineral, and spice. Pretty good.

  • Kinda surprised this is the first I've tried of these, and the previous notes are a little unnerving, but we enjoyed this, particularly at $11. Deep crimson color. Initial aromas of smoke and sulphur faded pretty quickly, and while it was a little funky, I really didn't mind it. Dark red fruits, earth, and a subtle touch of oak appeared on the nose with a few mins. of air. Medium body, acid, and finish, with dark red fruits and lingering minerality on the palate. Paired well w/ wine braised lentils and veggie sausage.

  • Dark inky nose with slight brett-y funk and tobacco opens into some brighter fruits. Interesting dry finish lingers nicely. Probably not a whole lot of life left in this one, and when I locate the other bottle, will be interesting to see if it has that same brett character.

  • enjoyable medium finish and tannins right out of the bottle. With a little vacumn this wine stays well in a bottle for 3 days. Like Tres Pico's my go to wine when I don't know what I want with dinner
