I am probably a bit harsh here as I would expect more from a wine of this price range. I have not had a Blankiet wine in quite a while and probably previous ones were not as aged, but this one did was not as enjoyable as i recall so I can not comment if this was an off bottle or indicative of the vintage, especially since other reviews here seem to be more positive. Overall serviceable but a bit disappointing.

  Similar notes as previous tasting. Elegant wine with blueberries, licorice and coffee in the nose. Blackberries, blackcurrants and chocolate in the flavor. Very well balanced, nice complexity, great mouthfeel and a long smooth finish.

  I was pleasantly surprised by this wine. Purchased upon release and stored professionally. As other have said that this was somewhat of a challenging vintage given the heat spikes, etc. however, I was impressed by the robust red fruit notes and the silky tannins. The finish was moderate in length. This medium bodied wine should stay at this level for a handful of years although I would probably drink up rather than cellaring fwiw. I’ve had this wine several times over the last year or two and have had consistent notes. It is a very nice representation of cali cab in a not so spectacular year. With that being said, no need to purchase. Enjoy other vintages of Blankiet
