Spectacular! This wine has aged magnificently. There is a beautiful depth of flavor that straddles appealing freshness and distinguished features from graceful aging. On the fresh side, the wine presents a surprising tropical fruit and pear-y profile along with loads of gorgeous florals. It is balanced by a softness that I have found unique to aging high-acid whites, along with caramel and toffee notes that ping pong back and forth with the flowers and fruits. The concentration is perfect, perhaps due to the '07 vintage. There is a small amount of residual sweetness, but barely. It is surprisingly refreshing despite the concentration and tropical fruits thanks to a preserved acidity. Pinot Gris is such an underrated varietal...13 years old and still going STRONG; damn I love Alsatian wine!!!!

Golden wheat straw. Has a rich texture that borders on viscous, flaunting floral, mineral notes of apples, pears, stonefruit, and a whiff of citrus. The flavors feel almost creamy but are tempered by a swathe of slaty, limestone minerality on the long finish. Adequate acidity keeps it from garnering a higher grade. Excellent nonetheless.

Outstanding Pinot Gris. Floral notes with integrated pear and apple spice pie. Smooth, creamy and crisp on the palate expressing pear liquor, mild cinniman and apple, rum spice cake! Works very well with Asian fusion. Beautiful long finish with elements o sweet spice and bitter apple. RS: 94

Excellent. Great balance and minerality, super fresh, seemingly weightless, and just a joy to drink.
