Nose has scents of blackberry jam toast, herbs and bacon grease. Blackberry dominates the palate with a touch of orange peel, chocolate and nice minerality. Good acidity and structure. Long snappy finish. Interesting wine.

The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like Fig, Fig, Petrol, Alcohol/Hot, and Alcohol/Hot. It tastes like Raisin, Dust, Alcohol/Hot, and Bark. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Angular texture. The wine finishes Medium.

Showing age. Not much pepper, lots of finesse. Odd note on the nose, blueberry and currant reduction, oak, iron/blood, and herbs - thyme, tarragon, etc. Nice character, medium-bodied, but lacking in comparison with comparable wines. Had with a 2010 Owen Roe Yakima Valley Syrah - not a fair comparison, but both were satisfying.

A shame they won't make this wine anymore. Drinking very nice right now. Great balance and finish.
