Sparrow Hawk is interesting. The oaky partisans think it needs more wood and is too steely. The non oak advocates want some toothpicks subtracted. I think it swings both ways and I enjoy the nuanced balance. It appears that 2009 was a "one off" probably based on some purchased grapes in the aftermath of the economic troubles. If you've got, enjoy it.

We enjoyed this wine. Balanced, not overly oaky or buttery, with some nice pear flavors. Will buy again.
