Drank at House of Prime Rib - perfect pairing. Immediately after the PnP and sediment decant, the wine seemed a bit tired and muted - required 10-15 minutes before all of the aromatics and fruit started surfacing. Initial notes of funk and farmhouse, leather, prunes, and slight soy sauce. With air, more dried black fruits emerged with some spice. Drink up - drinking well now despite its downwards trajectory.

This case has been so variable both in quality (flawed - to 93pts) as well as in character that I can only mark it based on enjoyment rather than any other criteria. So this was an enjoyable enough 91pt bottle which nevertheless has to be disappointing given the vintage!
The best bottles in this case would suggest a life till 2030.

From MG. Very correct, dry, vertical, elegant. Very different to taste after the Amoureuses, better on day 2 with tobacco, dry fruit. Old school Bordeaux, very elegant, drinking a point.
