  • Although the cork was super tight and without any apparent flaws, the wine came out of the bottle pretty bricked and showing signs of oxidation of a bottle 10 or 20 years older. Still, we let it decant in the bottle (and the glass) for the next hour and the taste and aroma improved markedly. It still exhibited flavors and aromas beyond its age, but some typical grenache fruit started to show and it proved an excellent pairing to grilled skirt steak and veggies. Not a brilliant wine, but still very enjoyable. I might mention that I got this for $21 from a Portland area supermarket, so the price was right.

  • This wine was fatastic and I'm hoping I can find more bottles of this and later years. After starting off with a run-of-the-mill Rhone as a first bottle, this wine, with its wonderful light and smooth texture paired beautifully with a white vegeterian lasagna. I recommend it very highly.
