Nose is dominated by yellow apples with some brioche, quite rich and open.
On the palate the wine appears very rich, fully mature. but still only secondary aromas. Appears younger than 22 years, but may have developed slower in the magnum format?
All in all, very good and appoacheble now

Leap Day Lunch (Ciao Bella, Mpls): Light-medium gold color. Drank a glass over an hour plus. There's a lot of complexity here, though this has some oxidative character too. Nougat, oyster shell, chalk, mushroom, citrus and toasted hazelnut on the nose. The palate is similar with tart lemon, mushroom, chalky minerality, oxidative notes, hazelnut and carmel flan on the back end. This was more mature than my last bottle, but there's more to come, so we'll see. 92 to 92+pts.

Light golden colour; beautifully developed complexity on the nose, spicy and vinous and delicately nutty; silky and harmonious palate, gentle mousse, gentle bitters, candied fruit and brioche; very good resonance and length. Fully mature.

Magnum. Rik og mineralsk på duft. Litt underspilt mht kjeks/bakst. Litt gul i frukten. God men ikke mer å hente på lagring. Svær i munn

Deep gold. Incredibly rich and tangy - a bit too much for the fizz which while decent enough is showing its age.
