Enjoyed over 2 days, much better on day 2. Surprisingly closed up and even tannic, this is a serious Pinot Noir with dark fruit, high acidity and notes of orange. More relaxed and generous on day 2 yet with no tertiary marks yet. Wait.

not fruit forward - almost acrid fruit to it, dried out, dry grasses in a field, soft vaguely-reddish fruit; med bodied with fresh acidity and silty tannins in the front-mid palate, slightly dried out/stripped of flavour? OK but not great. The palate is j

Color: Deep ruby with a garnet core. Showing significantly more extraction than I expected. Smell: Mushroom, dried blueberry, black cherries, and damp earth. Much more on the dark fruit spectrum than I expected. Taste: Dark Cherry, boysenberry, and blueberry Overall: Excellent with room to become Outstanding. Medium body, high acidity, high tannin, and med+ fruit. This baby is built to to cellar and age. I wish I had bought more so I could stick 3-4 in the cellar and forget them for 8-10 years.

I was not a huge fan of this on release and found it a bit too ripe and dense then, but it's calmed down nicely with a couple of years in bottle. There's still plenty of ripe red fruit, but it's now accompanied by a nice earthy funk and higher toned herbal elements. There's a slightly rustic feel to it with the tannins rather grainy on the back end, but it's very nice - much more fun than on release, and I'm left wishing I had bought a few more of these.

Most will find this a bit thin and acidic. Can be very enjoyable as a chilled aperitif or light afternoon red. Drink now
