  • Ruddy red color, dark core. Pencil shavings and ripe dark fruit aromas. Nice palate presence with mouth coating tannins that are mostly resolved. Good balance of fruit and tannins and enough acidity to keep it moving along. Not really blowing my mind. Drank over three days, it didn't improve or decline.

  • Our Friday night wine. Pop and poured. On the nose loads of terroir, earth along with loads of dark chocolate, red berries and tobacco. Feels mature, integrated and very masculine. Very left bank with cab sav dominating. Classic Bordeaux Left Bank nose. Ruby red colour. On the palette, everything feels right in place. Reminiscent of 2010 – balanced, finesse, structured and classic. Fresh with lots of interesting notes of terroir, red fruit and tobacco. The tannins are very mild. I had Château Glana a couple years ago and it also had similar 2010 characteristics. Of course, this has a lot of years left but probably in the early 20s in terms of life maturity.

Will let this one open up more before I take more sips but upon first impressions, it’s a nicely made enjoyable wine. Sum up in one word? Balanced. If you are seeking something along those lines, this will be one for you. I see the appeal from this producer.

  • quite youthful appearance not really showing 13 years of aging.

nose of dark soil, gravel, soft bramble and black cherry. palate shows again these soft savoury dark fruits, leather & tobacco, some dust and indeed fine integrated tannines. The wine finishes medium long in pleasant manner.

A nice wine with good complexity and substance opening up nicely after a 30 min decant. Quite fond of the reward after 10 yrs of cellaring this.
