I went into this expecting an off-dry Pinot Gris in the Alsace style but with more NZ tropical fruit. What I actually got was a bone-dry, quite savoury wine with pear and floral notes and lots of minerality in the finish. Once my brain had adjusted to this idea I quite enjoyed it, although the 13.5% alcohol was a bit overbearing.

Restaurant purchase, and I wasn't at all concentrating on the wine, I'm afraid. Very reticent initially, as it was served very, very cold. But as it came round it showed itself as reasonably creamy but with some decent tropical fruit. Fresher than many Alsace examples, but with much more character than many Italian pinot grigios. Nice, fresh, spring wine.
