Two Great Red Burgundy (Yan's China Bistro, Walnut Creek, Ca.): Nose of allspice, black cherry, red cherry, dusty earth, saddle leather, hint of barnyard, and game, same on the palate, big body, at peak, very tasty, mouth filling fruit, nose and taste were terrific from the start but slowly waned away during the two hour lunch, it is 24 years old after all, slightly rustic, medium/long finish and lovely aftertaste, all there but less than the Emmanuel Rouget which is to be expected.

Ten Days in Burgundy, Champagne, and Paris; 6/24/2016-7/6/2016: Highly floral and quite green on the nose. Beautifully expressive. Palate has solid development while retaining big tannins and plenty of red berry fruit power. Would love to find more of these. This was quite special, despite the sparse notes.

Perhaps less finesse than top Engel. Floral, cola and sweet aromas with relatively deep palate.
