Popped and poured; no formal notes. I recall this wine to be rather reticent right upon opening. The nose wasn't giving up very much and the finish was very short. That changed after about 10-15 minutes of air. At that point, it became quite pleasant, if not a very exciting drink. While there was more than a decent amount of fruit and nothing was really alarmingly out of place, I just didn't find it very compelling. Perhaps it should be noted that it directly followed a 2014 A. Rafanelli Zinfandel which was outstanding. Drink now with a little bit of air.

Rich, would go great with steak. Had it with a homemade pasta. Only negative is this blend is sold to wine club. You just wonder if they bottle leftover juice and then just make club members buy it.

Dark purple color. Big, ripe fruit nose out of the gate with dark raspberry and blackberry notes and a bit of charred oak and vanilla. Similar flavors on the palate but lacking a bit of structure to keep up with all the fruit so it comes across slightly flabby. A very tasty wine that was quite enjoyable to just sit and sip on after dinner but there are many other wines out there at a much better QPR that serve the same purpose. AO should stick to bordeaux varietals.

Agree with others that it tastes nether Malbec nor Zin. But delicious none the less. Great to sip by itself. Had it with Delfina Pizza.

Wonderful aromas, deep nose, intense dark color, opened throughout dinner, beautiful with a concentrated dessert.
