Low end of extraordinary. Opened at 11 am and seemed tight. Let Audolize (sp?) For7 hours and wow opened up beautifully. Paired with grilled NY.strip and it worked great. The only reason the score is not higher is the wine seemed too young. While the fruit was beautiful and tannins were resolved the wine was still a little tight. Drink this winter or hold

Dark red with slight fading at rim. Plums and blueberries on the nose. Plush fruit, plums, blueberries, roast meat. Intense. Smoother with air. Cherries on the midpalate. Firm tannins, nice acidity, good balance. Needs 3 to 4 years to develop. Finishes long with dark fruits. Great potential but still a bit primary. Wait 3 to 4 years and drink for 10 to 12 after that. If you drink it now, decant for 60 minutes or so. 79% Syrah; 13% Grenache; 8% Mourvedre

Decanted for an hour, followed for three and then finished the bottle two days later. Much better after a couple of hours. First Saxum, had high hopes but this one didn’t show me what people love about it. Beautiful nose but the palate is super dense and much darker fruited than I've experienced. I don’t think it was flawed, just had so much alcohol showing through that it was hard to really enjoy. Chilled it down a bit and that helped but I still can’t say Ioved it.

Strong dark fruit/floral nose, smooth, resolved tannins, multiple secondary notes, long finish. Excellent wine.

Give it 3+ hours for the magic to come out. Pnp was rather flat much better showing after decant.
