nose - touch of solvents, plummy, leather taste - syrupy, smokey, a little of the dreaded bitter coffee but genrally very smooth, finish a little dusty, some mint perhaps Overall - distinctively Pinotage but also smooth rich and quite drinkable. Probably good with a spicy stew

Dark, deep, medium bodied. On the nose, you get a good waft of oak – perhaps too much oak – and a lot of fruit. Blackberries, cherries, earthiness. In the mouth, medium acidity with more fruit and juicy tannins. It's probably not a typical pinotage, but it has an approachable pleasantness, although I can't help but think the oak was overdone just a little bit too much.

Erin thought this wine tasted like "communion" wine. Dark purple with good legs. Heavy Oak bouquet with blackberry. This is a wine with lots of mineral and earthy taste, good tannins and medium acidity on the front of the palate. Quite a bit of fruit for a Pinotage, hints of blackberries. That probably comes from the 13% Cabernet Sauvignon. Little bit of spice. Matthew liked this wine a lot more than Erin.. its the African blood.
