Wine is really drinking well now. The fruit is well balanced and integrated with some forest floor and wet leaves. The fruit has died down and there isn't any jammy quality to the wine. There is a little iron that sits forward and the early palate is a bit hot but that dies off early in the finish. Acidity brings the mouth to watering in the finish, and I find a slight unctuous sourness that lingers in the mid to late finish about five to ten seconds after swallowing.

This one just keeps getting better and better! It is definitely one of the best days for the money ever! I just picked up a case of the 2012 because this one is drinking so beautifully, especially for the price. The wind has softened up substantially since my last tasting. Straight out of the bottle you have strong senses of medium dark fruit, oak, a little bit a letter and crushed stone. As a pop and pour it is accessible, but the fruit rounds out and the oak clothes off over time.
I'm sad I only bought three bottles of the 2007, so I only have one left. I have had it at other tastings, to see it develop between tastings of my own cellar however. I will wait a couple of more years, and tell 2017 to try my last bottle.

Fruitful nose of dark berries with spice notes woven in. Full in the mouth. A bit too much fruit for my taste and lacking the longer dry finish that I prefer. Nonetheless very enjoyable, so I guess it expanded my horizons just a bit.

Flavor of cassis and bright red fruit with moderate, but not overwhelming toasted oak. Medium body and soft tannins. Nothing remarkable about this wine but it is a well-made example of a typical Napa cab in the $40 price range.

Very round tannins. Drinking well now but layers are not to interesting.
