Lots of reduction upon opening the bottle, let breath a good 15 minutes, either in the glass or carafe. Once it clears, the nose is full of dark plums and black pepper. The palate is fairly elegant and well structured, with dark fruits up front transitioning to woody spices and finishing on a perfect balance of alcohol, acid and silky tannins. No jam on this australian jewel. Drink now and the next year or two.

The best Teusner I've had in a while. And great QPR at the $20 I picked this up for. A clear winner compared to the '10 vintage. This is has serious depth but is only medium bodied. GSM and the Barossa for the win

Needs a bit of air to be expressive after a few years under the screw cap. Red fruits on the nose, but nothing too jammy. The palate is also brighter than typical old world GSM, this is New World after all, but this is not overly extracted, giving a very elegant wine with a very balanced finish.

GT Wine Magazine Top Tasting Grenache (Sydney): Ruby medium minus intensity Medium minus intensity red fruit, leather, slight perfume Red fruit, grippy tannin, leather, warm alcohol and long finish. A little simple but beautifully balanced and eminently quaffable. Very pleasant indeed.

Mild taste. Not too many tannines. Terrific flavours!
