Consumed over 3 hours. Initial sight ruby and touches of garnet, slightly opaque pomegranate red. Nose: Initially very austere giving off elements of heather, cotton, tart raspberry, tart cherry, lavender. Over time, opened into rich blueberry, raspberry, red cherry, cooked strawberry. Palate: Incredibly soft with shockingly balanced palate weight. Initially presents with ripe banana peel, cherry fruit. Very little tannin structure initially. At the 2 hour mark, mostly open: still subtle tannins, low acidity, real heat but balanced. After feeling mostly open, big huge spice box, black pepper, little paprika from heat, thicker, but not hugely extracted - chewier with milk chocolate, vanilla. We were so impressed by this wine – even at nearly 15% alcohol, the syle still shows refinement and balance. The palate weight is perfect. Will buy a few more of these, probably needs 3 or 4 hours full decant to really come together. Might not have been fully open until much later in the bottle/evening Great showing from a top zin producer.

Complexity - it has it. Figs on the nose, jammy on the tongue, long dry (tannins) finish Texture - smooth on the tongue Mid palate density - yes, it has it Proportion - very good. I'm looking forward to see how this evolves Finesse - hmm? A little in your face. Balance - very good. An experience for the senses I do enjoy most Brown products. This is one of their best!

Deep jammy fruit balanced nicely. Big nose followed by a big finish. This is a really nice zin. Looking forward to my next bottles.
