Dark garnet color with minimal bricking. Some sediments nose shows tart cherries and blackcurrants. Integrated tannins, mellow acidity - perfectly mature and in a great drinking window - this wine exudes plums, blackberries, tart cherries, tobacco leaves, forest floor notes, hints of graphite; the ending is medium long, very pleasant, with sandalwood notes to really make it come together. Drink now - I think this is in a great spot right now. Not overly layered of comllex, but precise and balanced and enjoyable.

(4/5) - ruby, but browning a bit with age (12/15) - This may have been stunning 5 years ago but is really starting to transition to secondary aromas. A bit of red fruits but dominated by spice, earth, tobacco scents. (16/20) - Again, age maybe has this just past where I'd like it to be personally. A bit acidic and one dimensional. My wife and I both thought it was transitioned. (7/10) - Still a fun wine and one I'd wished I drunk a bit sooner. Especially after having a 2011 not long ago that was stunning.

Short decant and ready to drink. Bold, nice structure and lots of tannins. This can go several more years.

Vanilla is much less apparent. Velvet, lush ripe red fruits , fast legs , medium finish
