Very good. Oldest bottle I've had from them. Striking herbal/wintergreen note to this. Teeth coating, quite resonant. Perhaps a touch leesy? Overall an excellent Batard, just lacking some of the definition and coherence that more recent vintages have achieved.

I arrived at the table and somebody had already opened this. What can I say as you watch infanticide happen in front of you? All you can do is have a glass or two and wonder what this will be like in 10 years time.
Nose still very closed but after about an hour or so it started to open up with classic Montrachet notes. Wonderful feeling in the mouth and a great purity and balance. Will come back in 10 years and see what it is like.
