Very smooth. I'm envisioning a leashed tiger. Color just short of inky but quite deep red. Aromas waft out of the glass without sniffing. very plummy, followed with a melange of berries, heat, with a very slight hint of tobacco. Very unctious mouthfeel, like unfizzed cola with extra soft tannins, no hard edges at all leading to a very long enjoyable finish.
