On the last night at Kingyo. Pretty good - this was a step-up from the last bottle I had almost a decade ago. After rivers of sake, this was a nice welcomed change. It had a nice nose of chalk, earth and spicy mineral drifting around a core of white fruit. Very Pernand I thought. The palate was very nice, with well-cut flavours of green apples and lemons, flint and lime zest trailing away into bright, citrusy finish, all this lined with a lovely spine of mkneral. I really liked this - not a blockbuster, but instead a really spare, stylish old school white Burg.

Very impressive !er Cru. Surprisingly it was still quite fresh. Rich nose of of peach and tropixcal fruits. Palate showed also fruit with citrus undertone

Opened another bottle, since the Rapet PV Le Clous (village appelation) showed great a week ago. However, the 1er cru was still closed, grassy, lean. See my comments a year ago. Lets hope for 2015!

Picked up the wine at the producer, in Pernand. Tried the first bottle. Nose a bit citrussy, grassy, reductive. This is confirmed with prominent acidity, taste did not open up yet. A bit like Macon style. I think this should wait 1 or 2 years, to open up and develop secondary aromas.

Light red. Fruity, quite juicy. Medium long, light body.
