Deep red color with Blueberry and cherry on the nose. Nice Blueberry and blackberry fruit on the palate with a hint of licorice. Somewhat light pepper/tannins and a relatively short finish.
Softened and improved a bit when finished two days later. Aged well overall but probably best to drink by 2017-2018.

Blueberry and wet asphalt (wet asphalt mostly gone on day 2), along with some spice. Big, bold, definitely McLaren Vale. Not quite as ripe and rounded or polished as Barossa is much of the time. The fruit is just a little less savory and a little more tart. Improved on day 2, less tart, more savory. A little smoke. Decant this one and enjoy. 89 (88 day 1, 90 day 2).

Big and unctuous but in the best way, retaining freshness and no overripe notes. Piles of dark fruit and some cool green notes in the background. Pretty complex and a damn good drink for that price.

This is great stuff. Blackberry, blueberry, pepper and the right amount of green olives when it was first opened. Not the standard jam bomb and a well made Shiraz.

The first night this was a somewhat jammy but not overly complex Aussie shiraz. But the second night this was showing layers of flavors (berries, flowers, soil, iron), and this continued into the 3rd night. I suspect this is going to be much better in a few years.
