Wow, was this a surprise. Afraid this might be over the hill, it wasn't in any danger. Could've competed with a lot of Amarones, but wasn't too overripe. Just in a beautiful spot with great fruit and still some definition holding it all together.

Juicy raspberry, some leaves, good acid. Not that interesting given the expectations from Rimmerman on this one. Although I do agree that it has an elegance and lightness to it that most Ripasso wines don't have.
With air this is opening up and gaining some complexity - straw, earth, rock. Still quite juicy, but it's got more personality - rather akin to a youngish Harvest Moon Zinfandel, of all things.

Tasty Ripasso. Great acid and a nice depth of fruit from the extra skins. Not too complex with being open for the first half hour, but it's a delicious and well balanced wine. Should go well with the steak we're about to have with it.

What is corvina? Garagiste says this is 'Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot’ but I really don’t taste any of those. What I do taste is a light, fruity relatively high-acid wine that goes down real nice!
This bottle is better than the last, so
Hold for >= 2014

gorgeous nose with hints of earth and tobacco, but only fine on the palate. at the price point, it's a rare rimmerman miss.
