Non-blind. Had immediately. Impression: Outstanding with WOW! Blackish violet with an XL flamboyant nose of masonite board and Aussie Shiraz. On the palate this is a tart and tannic beast. Still very young, but already strutting its stuff. Definitely an Oz expression with L- acids and bursting with ripe fruit and spices like the typical cloves and anise seed. Great balance with tremendous upside for the patient ones. Outranks the 2009 by miles. Will grow well and keep for several years. Superb QPR for those of us who enjoy hefty sheilas from time to time.

Fox Creek Cellar Door Tasting (Fox Creek Winery Cellar Door): This is definitely the best wine that I tasted at Fox Creek mostly due to the great balance of oak and the very deep, dark tobacco notes that are not typical of the region. There is some blackberry and touch of Ribena and these are all in balance. The palette is very soft with nice currants and a blackberry finish.

Rich and juicy but too clumsy.
