As usual, CT pundits said this wine was no good after 2014 but this wine still is a bit tight throughout. There is some forest floor developing but still ample fruit. I Coravined this wine so will try again in a couple of months.

Give this one at least an hour decant, preferably two, and it really performs. This is just hitting its peak now so disregard the CT drinking window. There's a perfect balance of fruit, oak, alcohol and tannins on the palate. The acidity level made this a perfect pairing my steak dinner. There is just a touch of lip smacking tannins on the long finish. It's a little sad that the new owners of MS have not stated a desire to continue to make this bottling.

Popped and poured the first glass. Slight spice, reminiscent of cloves, on the first smell. Well-integrated and balanced. Seamless on the palate with hints of herbs and the faintest of dark fruits. Long, lingering finish returning to some spice. Lovely bottle with filet mignon.

Still drinking extremely well. Bold Sonoma fruit with tannins to match.
