Medium deep to deep yellow. Mineral, lemon pith nose. Smells quite youthful. Palate is dry, tactile, and very nearly perfectly balanced. Youthful, really just starting to display secondary flavours. This has at lest ten more years left in the tank, probably more. Rich, but with excellent cut. Really quite delicious.

Fruit Day - perfect nose of saline, citrus, butterscotch, white flowers, pear - layered and complex. The palate is the same - layered and complex with a lovely spice and dried yellow fruit filled long finish.

Dinner at Wimborne. Drank in Riedel Chardonnay Stemless. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of honeyed almond and hazelnuts, salted butter, citrus lemon curd, stony minerality. Developed. On the palate, dry, just nice high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of rounded honeyed hazelnuts and almonds, rich citrus lemon curd, white peaches, salty butter, buried minerality. Long finish. Very good quality. Lovely weight and to me a very good example of oaked Meursault Genev. Drinking in a nice spot already.

Excellent. Seashell and flint on nose and palate. Mineral, lemon and salt on the long finish. Acid is perfect.
